Southside Survivors

A group of Senior Citizens met Feb. 4, 1989 in the fellowship Hall of Southside Baptist Church to organize a Senior Citizen Group, the Southside Survivors.

We had 25 people present. The meeting was called to order by our Director, Millie Ingle. Pastor Ingle led in prayer and gave a very interesting devotion. Millie read a story about Living Long Enough to be a Senior Citizen. It was about all the changes from years gone by. "We are Survivors."

During the business session Wade Mosteller made a motion that we call our group "The Southside Survivors," the motion was passes and we were organized as the Southside Survivors. Officers were elected as follows;

Millie Ingle....Director
Pauline Cloninger...Asst. Director & Sec.Treasure
Dot Caskey....Program Chairman
Millie Ingle....Activities Director

We voted to give a dollar at each meeting to be used for gas for trips and other activities. We received $36.00. After a delicious meal enjoyed by everyone the meeting adjourned.
