We would like to Welcome All to be our
Guest this week for Worship at
Southside Baptist Church of Lincolnton.
Who are we?
Southside Baptist Church consists of a wide range of
different people, from all ages and different backgrounds.
All of whom are eager to make you feel at home. Who ever
you are you are assured a warm welcome and a invitation
to join us at Southside Baptist Church of Lincolnton.
When to arrive
If it's your first visit then it's probably best to turn up around 10.45
am. for our morning worship. As you enter the sanctuary
( photo above ) you are welcome to sit where you wish. The two doors on
either side at the front of the sanctuary lead to the handicap restrooms
in hallway. See the map for details. If you are
driving there is plenty of parking. You will be pleased to know we have
a Childrens Sunday School Van Ministry and you may arrange for possible
transportation. For directions to Southside Baptist
please see the Directions page. You'll be
warmly greeted in the door by our ushers who will give you a weekly bulletin
with todays services.
What to wear
This is easy. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We are an informal
church and accept people as they are. There is no need to dress up to
try and be someone that you're not. Whether you are a suited business
man or a blue jeans teen that's fine with us.
What to expect
For some people going anywhere for the first time can be a bit of a nerve-racking
experience. To help avoid any worries here's a quick summary of what you
can expect at Southside.
We all had a 'first day' at a new church. You'll find we are a friendly
bunch, and truly are glad you have chosen to worship with us. If you have
any questions simply ask.
We start our Sunday Services with announcements
and singing. Our worship time consists of traditional and modern songs
Everyone participates in the worship but afterwards the kids can go to
their own groups. We also have a nursery for
the little ones and Childrens Church for the older children. We then have
the sermon that is relevant and meaningful to our modern lives delivered
from our pastor Bro. Doug McClain.
Our aim is that whether you are just looking into Christianity for the
first time or have been a Christian for many years, that you should be
encouraged and inspired by the morning services.
What we believe
We are a Christian church and what we believe
is that the Bible is the inspired and error-free Word of God. We believe
this relationship with God is possible because of Jesus (God's only son)
who invites us to follow him. We have friendly relationships with other
local churches from both traditional and modern backgrounds. If you are
interested in discovering faith then please come and join us Sunday.
Is it just Sundays?
Absolutely not! God is with us all week long and we aim to lead lives
pleasing to him. We're not perfect and we do make mistakes, but we desire
to make a positive difference in everything we do. Following our services
on Sunday Morning , we gather for evening worship of singing and a message
from our pastor. To further encourage us we have Wednesday night services
which includes prayer request and updates. Followed by a sermon from our
pastor.
For those with disabilities
We aim to be an all inclusive church. Our premises are accessible for
those with disabilites. We have a side entrance into
the sanctuary that is wheel chair accessible, and pew provisions
for wheel chairs. Both the ladies and mens restrooms down the hall
behind the sanctuary are wheel chair accessible.
We also have a Hearing Inpaired Ministry
for our services. An interpreter is provided,
